Senior Leadership Changes

To better serve our kids, the Clubs reorganized key responsibilities and added a new team member. Amy Gibson is moving from the Director of Grant Based Initiatives to the Director of Resource Development. Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie’s Annual Just Dessert Fundraiser Announced
Robby Tompkins2020-09-01T10:33:09-04:00September 1, 2020 The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie continue to host the annual Just Desserts fundraiser this year on November 6. This year’s event will take place at the Club and have a different feel to it. “Our goal throughout this year has been to make sure everyone - our Club kids, families, and staff - are safe and healthy. After School Program
Robby Tompkins2020-08-07T12:07:42-04:00School will be starting soon and the Clubs are looking forward to serving our families and youth from the Muncie Community. Here is the plan: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie will open on Monday, August 17th for the after school program. Elementary Program will have 95 open slots for enrollment. Middle School Program will have 40 slots for enrollment and will have an option for before school care. High School Program will have 40 slots for enrollment. COVID-19
Robby Tompkins2020-07-06T14:32:45-04:00Dear families and friends… The Clubs has had an asymptomatic staff member test positive for COVID-19. We are in the process of testing all of our staff. For the health, safety and well-being of our families, youth and employees, we are temporarily closing our doors for the week of July 7th - July 10th. We feel that the best way to serve you in light of COVID-19 is to closely follow the guidelines set by the Department of Health and our state and health officials.
After School Announcement Coming Soon
Robby Tompkins2020-07-02T16:19:08-04:00To all our families: The week of July 13th, the Clubs will announce their after school plan for kindergarten through 5th grade at the Madison St. site, 6th – 8th grade at the Buley Center site and 9th – 12th grade at the Madison St. site. We look forward to another exciting year; working together to do #WhateverItTakes to Build Great Futures for the youth of Muncie. Changes in Charitable Deductions Due to Covid-19
Robby Tompkins2020-06-26T09:10:32-04:00How Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Security Act Impacts You INDIVIDUALS TAKING STANDARD DEDUCTION, donors who do not itemize their taxes (most people) can now take up to $300 in above the line deductions for qualified charitable gifts (501(c)3 nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie) Married and filing separately should double that deduction. EFFECT: Now, all donors reduce their taxable adjusted gross income if they make charitable gifts in 2020. With past years increases in the standard deduction, this temporary measure reignites lower-level donors who will save money on their 2020 taxes from donating.
