We are NOW HIRING for the fall semester for AmeriCorps, Interns,Work Study positions, and Program Assistant positions.

We are now looking for the following AmeriCorps positions to begin in the fall semester:

To qualify for an AmeriCorps position at the Club, you must be:

What is AmeriCorps?

AmeriCorps is a United States federal community service program created in 1993 under President Bill Clinton. It was established with a goal of “helping others and meeting critical needs in the community.” Similar to the Peace Corps, members serve a network of nonprofit organizations and public agencies to fulfill assignments in the fields of education, public safety, health care, and environmental protection. Since the program became operational in 1994, almost 1 million AmeriCorps members have contributed more than 1.2 billion hours in the name of community service.

As an AmeriCorps volunteer, you will commit to the following:

  • Either 300, 675, or 900 hours of service
  • Consistent and steady work week
  • Opportunity to focus work in the following areas: Healthy Lifestyles; Academic Success; Character & Citizenship; Volunteer Engagement

To qualify for an Internship at the Club, you must:

  • Qualify and apply for Internship through Internship coordinator in department of studies at your college
  • Willing to work in a high-energy environment
  • Willing to work with children and youth
  • Willing to strive for personal development, advancement, and improvement

We are now looking for the following Work Study positions to begin in the fall semester:

  • Front Desk (4 positions)

We are looking to fill four work-study positions for the coming semester. All work-study positions will be cross-trained in the following areas:

  • Concession stand
    • Maintaining inventory for concessions
    • Maintain an accurate record of concession finances
    • Ordering concessions
    • Cleanup of concession area
  • Front desk
    • Answering phones
    • KidTrax
    • Check emails/voicemails
    • Interfacing with parents and volunteers
    • Interfacing with club members
    • Cleanup and supervision of lounge

You will also be responsible for performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by you supervisor.

If you are assigned to one area for the day, you will not be responsible for the other. For example, if you are assigned to the front desk, you will only be responsible for front desk duties that day.
