The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie continue to host the annual Just Desserts fundraiser this year on November 6. This year’s event will take place at the Club and have a different feel to it.
“Our goal throughout this year has been to make sure everyone – our Club kids, families, and staff – are safe and healthy. We plan to keep this goal top of mind during this year’s Just Desserts event,” explains Amy Gibson, Director of Resource Development.
This year the Clubs have partnered with four local bakers to create individual desserts. Each ticket holder will receive a gift bag with all four desserts included. Bags will be handed out in a contactless, drive-up system at the Madison Street Club on November 6 from 4;30 – 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.bgcmuncie.org/just-desserts/.
Leading up to the main event, the Clubs will host a Pie-in-the-Face contest and an auction for decadent desserts from 2 local bakers. More information about these two events will be released on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie’s Facebook page.
Proceeds from this event will be used to offset the difference between the cost of membership to the member and the true cost to the center. Families are granted membership to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie for a cost of only $15 per year. The club averages a cost of $4,000 per year per member. The difference is made up with fundraisers, donations, and giving from our community partners.
