Changes in Charitable Deductions Due to Covid-19
Amy Gibson2020-06-26T09:10:32-04:00How Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Security Act Impacts You INDIVIDUALS TAKING STANDARD DEDUCTION, donors who do not itemize their taxes (most people) can now take up to $300 in above the line deductions for qualified charitable gifts (501(c)3 nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie) Married and filing separately should double that deduction. EFFECT: Now, all donors reduce their taxable adjusted gross income if they make charitable gifts in 2020. With past years increases in the standard deduction, this temporary measure reignites lower-level donors who will save money on their 2020 taxes from donating. Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie Receive $160,000 Ball Brothers Foundation Grant
Amy Gibson2020-05-29T12:09:07-04:00May 29, 2020 The Ball Brothers Foundation awards the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie with a $160,000 grant to support the Clubs’ mission to create a safe environment for the youth of our city. The Ball Brothers Foundation grant will allow the Clubs to employ 10 youth development professionals, pay for a portion of the utilities expense and be able to remodel a few rooms within the Madison St. site.
