Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie is actively recruiting positive, skilled and committed volunteers. Our needs are ongoing, and we are always looking to expand our volunteer roster. We currently have one-time volunteer opportunities as well as consistent volunteer opportunities in our Club settings.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

BACKGROUND CHECK
All volunteers must have a background check that has been conducted in the past year. If you already have a background check, send it to Angela at afield@bgcmuncie.org. Otherwise, the Club will conduct a background check via AssureHire for a cost of $15. The fee must be paid and the background screen passed before volunteering can begin. Please plan ahead.
ATTEND ORIENTATION
Orientations are provided for all volunteers to be sure you know what to expect and can make the time with our Club Kids fun and engaging.

Workplace Volunteer Opportunities
We customize one-time event opportunities to give our corporate and community partners a glimpse of what our organization is about. These opportunities include annual special events hosted by our fundraising staff and customized Club projects that fit a company’s desired volunteer request.
Customized opportunities typically last 3-5 hours and are created within the operational hours of our Club sites. Projects range from Club beautification (planting flowers, painting murals) to literacy activities with Club youth. Youth
Volunteers
Youth who are 17-years-old or younger or 18-years-old and still in high school do not need to complete a volunteer application. They must go to their local Club and complete a Club membership application. Club sites have volunteer opportunities for youth to participate in during afterschool programming and summer camp. Youth volunteers will benefit from Club programming, sports and recreation activities, youth jobs and scholarship opportunities. Contact the Club at 765-282-4461.
