Meet Robert Uram, our newest AmeriCorps VISTA member hailing all the way from California!
Robert joined us in June as an AmeriCorps VISTA member for Human Resources. In this role he will be responsible for volunteer management, assist with human resources, training and staff development. As a VISTA, he has committed to a year of service with the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie. He has relocated to Muncie from California. Read more about Robert below.
Why did you choose VISTA?
I wanted to be part of the solution of eradicating the problem of poverty and this position (VISTA)
What are some of your hobbies?
Playing games, lifting weights, writing, I hate running but I try to do it anyway
Where did you go to school?
Denison University in Gran Ville, Ohio
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a Garbage Man, I think that later changed to a scientist.
What has surprised you most about Muncie?
Learning that it was an old steel town
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Either a programmer or IT professional
What is your favorite color?
Blue

Dragons of Autumn Twilight

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

I am half thai
