A FOCUS ON
CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP
Since the very beginning, Character and Leadership programming has been a primary focus. Through these programs, members are encouraged to take personal responsibility for their actions and are given leadership roles within their Club. They are also introduced to community service – a critical element of this programming.
Character and Leadership programs are available to members of all ages and take a variety of forms from gender-specific programming to interest-based clubs located within each clubhouse.
Pink Hearts
Small-group health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in grades 3-5.
Mentoring
Connecting at-risk and high-risk youth with caring mentors, skill-building prevention programs, and positive youth development opportunities.
Jr. Staff
Junior Staff is a small-group program that is both practical and user friendly. It assists Club members in exploring a career in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work.
Art & Music
Our Art & Music programs help Club members enhance self-expression and creativity, develop multicultural appreciation, and develop skills in crafts and visual, performing and literary arts.
