Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie will be hosting an Open House at the Madison St. and Roy C. Buley Units on Monday, February 21 at 5:00 p.m. The entire community is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
“We are excited to open our Blue Doors to the community for them to learn about the many programs and services the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie offer,” says Amy Gibson, Director of Resource Development. The Clubs have been a staple in the Muncie community for nearly 90 years, which the Clubs will be celebrating in 2023.
During the Open Houses at both locations, guests will have the opportunities to get a tour of the Club facilities, and learn more about the programs being offered at the Clubs from their pillars of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Character and Leadership.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie’s Madison St. Unit is located at 1710 S. Madison St. and the home for the kindergarten through 5th grade program. While the Roy C. Buley Unit, known as the Teen Center, is located at 1111 N. Penn St. and is for our 6th grade through 12th grade teen members.
Guests will also have the opportunity to speak with representatives and to learn about services from Open Door Health Services, Ivy Tech Community College and Thrive Credit Union. Open Door Health Services will have a registered nurse on site at the Madison St. Unit providing flu, COVID vaccines, the COVID booster, and to answer any questions. While at the Roy C. Buley Center there will be an informational table setup with the many services that Open Door Health Services provides. Ivy Tech Community College will be at our Roy C. Buley Unit to answer any questions about registering for school or to learn more about the associates program at Muncie Central.
