The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie are excited to announce a new program, in partnership with the YMCA of Muncie, to help support our families, our schools, and most importantly our kids during a difficult academic year. The Clubs have opened a school day program for Muncie Community School Students who are currently enrolled in the Virtual Learning Program.
From 7:30 – 6:00, the Clubs will offer a hybrid of out of school time and virtual school time programming to assist our kids, and families, free of charge ($15 Club membership required) for Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Serving Breakfast, Lunch, and an afternoon snack, parents can be assured that their children are cared for and assisted with their Muncie Community Schools Virtual Learning Program. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie’s expansion is a sponsored project of the United Way of Delaware, Henry and Randolph Counties and Indiana United Ways, with funding provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.
Classrooms will be limited to 10 – 15 members each.

A: No, this program is for any child enrolled in Muncie Community Schools Virtual Learning Program. A membership will be required for all children enrolled.

A: No, this program is only for Muncie Community Schools Virtual Learning Program enrollees.
Q: I homeschool my child, can I send them to this program?
A: No, we are not a licensed school. We are working to support our students with their schoolwork.
Q: What does my child need to bring?
A: All they need to bring is their MCS school provided Chromebook.
Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: Virtual Learners Day Program starts at 8:00 am and ends at 2:30 pm
A: Virtual Learners Evening Program starts at 2:40 pm and ends at 6:00 pm
Q: How will students remain safe and social distanced from peers and the public?
A: Our staff members will be following strict rules and guidelines that are outlined on our COVID-19 safety plans. We will be assuring social distancing is maintained by how many students we are taking in for this program and seating arrangements in the facility.

A: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie and the YMCA have partnered together to provide a program for Virtual Learners and will be held at the Downtown YMCA which is located at 500 S Mulberry St, Muncie, IN 47305.

A: This program will be offered to grade levels K-12
Q: Are students required to come and stay all day for the program?
A: We ask that our elementary and middle school learners stay the whole day for learning purposes, but our High school students can come for tutoring purposes or all day purposes. Our all-day learners are welcome to stay for our after school program to still mingle with peers and get active as if they were in regular day school.
Q: How much does it cost to sign my child up?
A: A one-time fee of $15.00 per child for the entire academic year.
